This morning it was the turn of the KoC 10K, a challenging and stimulating race that starts and ends in front of the Shrine of St. Antonio (in the suburbs of Ellicott City, Maryland) and proceeds through residential neighborhoods and the surrounding countryside.Excellent organization of the event at any time, from parking, to the fast processing of applications for registration, the magnificent the national anthem sung "a cappella", and the outstanding prizes and awards. The post-race then provided games for children (inflatable slides), massages for the runners and plenty of food/refreshments for all (bagels, donuts, pizza and lots of fruit).
The course is challenging, many ups and downs, but what hurts most was a long climb (although with slopes contained) in the last 3 km ... I have to admit, I suffered fatigue at the end.
