"Racing teaches us to challenge ourselves. It teaches us to push beyond where we thought we could go. It helps us to find out what we are made of. This is what we do. This is what it's all about."

Chaptico Classic 10K

This morning, while In waiting for the arrival Hurricane Irene, we ran the Chaptico Classic K 10.
Chaptico is a small rural town in the south of Maryland and for 26 years has hosted an amazing 5 K and 10 K race.
The 10K course is gorgeous, the last 4 km it winds through country roads and farms.

Everything today went very well, too bad for the rain that began to fall the second half of the race
Also this year Lynn Jennings (Bronze medalist at 92' Olympics in Barcelona in the 10000 mt and 3-times cross-country world champion) was present at the race and, while waiting for the award ceremony, she told us her story (highlighting highs and lows, happiness and frustration).
Compared to last year the only thing missing was the Bluegrass band singing at mile 5 ... I missed them !
Race recommended to everybody!

Here's the 10k results.
