"Racing teaches us to challenge ourselves. It teaches us to push beyond where we thought we could go. It helps us to find out what we are made of. This is what we do. This is what it's all about."

New Year's Day 2012 5K - Reston VA

The Olympic year for us started with a 5k.
Last chapter of the Potomac River Running Store 2011 Series, the "New Years Day 2012 5K" was held in Reston, Va this morning at 10.
The start and finish line was located in the heart of Reston Town Center and the route was an out & back along the W&OD trail.

Kudos to the organizers for a well managed event (the decision to limit the registration to the first 700 was perfect!), plenty of free parking, nice post race refreshments with music, bagels, doughnuts, and hot chocolate and quick and rich award ceremony.
Great way to start the new year.

Here the results.
