"Racing teaches us to challenge ourselves. It teaches us to push beyond where we thought we could go. It helps us to find out what we are made of. This is what we do. This is what it's all about."

Fairfax Four Miler - Fairfax, VA

It has now become a standard practice to say hello to a year of running by racing the Fairfax Four Miler.

For the third year in a row we attended this well organized Pacer's event, and once again the result met our brightest expectations.

This year it was a little bit different though, it was warmer than usual (temperatures in the 50°F) and the packet pick-up/bag check/post race party was hosted in the Old Town Hall (nice building and outstanding location, right in front of the start/finish line).

The course is not easy, it's hilly and relatively dark in some points, so it's not a race for PR's. Nevertheless the beautiful sweatshirt (included in the race packet) and the seamless organization made this race a "must run" at least once.

Here's the link to the results.

Next NYE we will miss it for sure :-(
