"Racing teaches us to challenge ourselves. It teaches us to push beyond where we thought we could go. It helps us to find out what we are made of. This is what we do. This is what it's all about."

Cross di Lonato - Lonato del Garda (BS)

Open fields, hills, up and down and mud. To make it even better add some weather and you have real cross-country tradition.
Well, yesterday was a day for true cross-country runners, when rain “refreshes” the quagmire and sweat melts with mud.

We ran in Lonato on a tough and technical course full of sharp turns, short straights and small ditches; it was fun, four laps of pure enjoyment!
Unfortunately the location was not suited to host a big race under such a heavy rain; there were not enough spots to shelter the athletes from the water and the cold winds.

Nevertheless, I'm definitively satisfied with my end result, finally a good performance to be proud of.

Here's a link to the final results.
