"Racing teaches us to challenge ourselves. It teaches us to push beyond where we thought we could go. It helps us to find out what we are made of. This is what we do. This is what it's all about."

Un Po ... di corsa - Cremona (CR)

First race of the year in Cremona; 10 km of asphalt, and some mud, along the Po river.

The gathering point (including start and finish) was located within Flora Rowing Club (two thumbs up for the location: lots of parking, great reception area, showers available, restaurant open for lunch), the course ran eastbound along the banks of the big River passing underneath the Iron Bridge and continued till the 5th kilometer where a couple of sharp 90 degrees turns helped the runners to proceed back to the finish line.

Unfortunately, almost half way through, I made a wrong turn which costed more than a n additional kilometer. Nevertheless it was fun to pass so many runners, doesn't happen very often lately ;-)

Apart from the inconvenience of the wrong detour, hat's off to the organization: sober (without excesses of any kind), but efficient and precise from packet and bib pick-up to the awards ceremony. You can not really ask for more.

At the end of June a summer version of the race is planned: most likely we'll be there.
