RRCA 10 mile challenge - Columbia MD

Challenging and competitive....., these are the two words usually associated with the RRCA 10miler Team Challenge and Yesterday i witnessed that challenging and competitive truly describe the race held in Columbia MD at the end of february.

The race started at 8:00 on a sunny winter morning and the 680 runners battled hard on the hilly roads of the surroundings of the town to prove how their team ranks on the top 10 (each runner bring points to the team.....Scoring: Men: 12M scorers for each team. Women: 6F scorers for each team. Coed: 15 scorers and minimum of 4M and 4F on each team.)

As mentioned, the course is really though.... definetevely not ideal to set a PR, being a sequence of climbs, steep descends and blind turns with a second half that seemed more difficoult than the first one.

I'm more than happy with my result, i'm pretty confident that my training for Boston is progressing well.
Here a link to the final overall and team results.

Overall i strongly reccomend to run it, at least once. It's fun to feel the team spirit and to race for something else than and individual award.
