Manassas Runway 10k - Manassas VA

Ever run on an Airport Runway??? Well, I did few times but it's always a pleasure. For this reason, last Saturday we ran at the Manassas Regional Airport in Manassas, VA, and we had    great fun!

We choose to run the 10k (there's also a 5k ... actually it turned out to be a 4 point something k), really fast and flat course along the runways, taxi ways, and around the local roads of the airport.

Very nice race although few things could have been done better such as delay the start 30 minutes (7:30 is way too early ... especially considering that you don't need to close roads), separate arrivals lanes for the 5k and the 10k (there was an overlap of fast and slow runners on the finish stretch), or better markings for the course (turns) of the 5k; hopefully those will be fixed in the future.

Here the final results.
