"Racing teaches us to challenge ourselves. It teaches us to push beyond where we thought we could go. It helps us to find out what we are made of. This is what we do. This is what it's all about."

3ª Corsa Podistica - Lugana di Sirmione (BS)

Salve, o venusta Sirmio ... with the words of the latin poet Catullus echoing in our minds, this morning we ran in Lugana di Sirmione (on the southern shore of Lake Garda).

Unfortunately, even today the weather did not help the organizers in having a perfect race-day, it rained all the time and, I suppose, some of the usual participants did not showed up.

What a pity! The course is gorgeous, eight kilometers out and back on the shore to include a loop through the narrow streets of the old town of Sirmione (in front of the Castle) ... of course the beauty of the course collides with the presence of tourists (not always aware of the runners).

Regarding my race, I am fully satisfied!  It's a fact that up to 6-7 kilometers I'm still able to keep a good pace ... now I just need to revive some more training.

Here you can find a link to the results and to some additional photos of the event.
