"Racing teaches us to challenge ourselves. It teaches us to push beyond where we thought we could go. It helps us to find out what we are made of. This is what we do. This is what it's all about."

Cross del Dosso Badino - Monticelli Brusati (BS)

The first edition of the Cross of Dosso Badino, which took place this morning in Monticelli Brusati near Brescia, will be definitively remembered in positive terms.

Everything went really well and I would like to highlight especially the followings:
- beautiful location (excellent for a cross country race);
- outstanding and flawless organization;
- a challenging course covered with snow, a factor that by itself helps to make every race epic;
- temperatures in the low 40's (cold but not freezing),
- quality of the runners.

The series of races started at 9 AM with the most experienced Master (MM45 and over) first, followed by those younger and the female categories.

At 11-ish the real show started with the race of the pros, female first and male next. We had a chance to closely watch Olympic finalists, European finalists, national champions, triathlon stars and rising stars of Italy's track and field scene.
It was great.

Here's the link to the results.
