"Racing teaches us to challenge ourselves. It teaches us to push beyond where we thought we could go. It helps us to find out what we are made of. This is what we do. This is what it's all about."

Halloween 5K run - Fort Meade MD

Cold and Wet were some today's most commonly used words at Fort Meade Halloween 5K Run.
This morning we ran the Halloween chapter of the Fort Meade Run Series and with temperatures in the sub-40s and freezing rain it was really difficult to enjoy the hilly 5k loop around Fort Meade Pavilion.
Few of the runners challenged the weather by wearing their costume, some others tried to stay warm wearing every kind of gloves, caps, scarfs .... (I was one of them).
For the records, I manage to keep up with the leader until mile 2 ... no chance after that, though.... Simonetta won the Overall Female award and best costumes contest was won by Little Red Cap over Wonder Woman.
