"Racing teaches us to challenge ourselves. It teaches us to push beyond where we thought we could go. It helps us to find out what we are made of. This is what we do. This is what it's all about."

32^ Passeggiata dei Colli Morenici... - Grole di Castiglione (MN)

For the third time in less than 2 months, we raced in the area were one of the major battles (battle of Solferino) of the Second Italian War of Independence took place in 1859.

Hilly terrain, challenging course, bottom line ... overall a tough race especially for those who are used to run through flat roads (like me lately...).
I did not enjoyed the beautiful views, it was really tough from the "get go".
This race is one of those where it gets easier if you already know the course, it starts out with a lot of steep climbs but after mile two it becomes more gentle with a series of small ups and downs ... therefore if you are able to manage your pace correctly it's possible to catch up a lot of runners in the second half... not my case last Sunday ...

Here the results and some additional pictures of the event (1 and 2).
