"Racing teaches us to challenge ourselves. It teaches us to push beyond where we thought we could go. It helps us to find out what we are made of. This is what we do. This is what it's all about."

Giro delle tre chiese - Offanengo (CR)

Offanengo, a small town near Crema (less then 30 miles east of Milan), hosted the 6th edition of the "Gire delle tre chiese" (lit. "Tour of the 3 churches"), a beautiful race with a technical course that runs for 4 laps (for male runners and 3 for female runners) through small streets and sharp turns (each lap measures 1530 meters).

Although this is only the 6th edition, the race has grown in popularity and has become a benchmark for a lot of elite runners ... just consider that the course record is 17:46 (6120 meters), set by Abdelhadi Tyar (Morocco) last year.

As I said more than once I truly love to race in the evening (after dark) through the streets of small towns, and once again last night I couldn't have been happier: excellent organization and beautiful environment for this evening race.

I'll try to run it again in the future.
