"Racing teaches us to challenge ourselves. It teaches us to push beyond where we thought we could go. It helps us to find out what we are made of. This is what we do. This is what it's all about."

Jug Bay 10K - Upper Marlboro MD

We ran a very nice race this morning the Jug Bay 10K, a beautiful course through the woods and the meadows and woodlands along the bank of the Patuxent River.

The race, hosted by the M-NCPPC Park Rangers, was part of the 2011 racePacket Grand Prix Series.

The course was mostly on paved path, packed dirt & gravel, and wooden walkway; the weather was good for November (lower 40's and a chilly breeze).

I really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and the post-race refreshments (especially the animal crackers).

I'll post the results as soon as they'll be available.
