"Racing teaches us to challenge ourselves. It teaches us to push beyond where we thought we could go. It helps us to find out what we are made of. This is what we do. This is what it's all about."

Kensington MD 8K

As per an annual Kensington tradition since 1993, this morning at 8:30 the 8K race started nearby the Kensington Town Hall.
The race has a true small-town feel and the challenging course, combining long hills and flats (it winds through historic Old Town Kensington and beautiful Rock Creek Park) made it a great race or training run.

The pre-race operations emphasized the excellent organization, highlights were the parking (with many well-placed signs and volunteers who promptly pointed to the nearest free parking space) and the rapid process for pack and bib pick-up (well done girls !) KUDOS!

After the race,  we all appreciated the home-made muffins and bread, available for all the runners. A special and sincere "Well done" goes to the young rock band who cheered the event with great music!

Here today's results (male and female).  This race was the 2011 racePacket Grand Prix Series.
